About Bare Root Farms
Our Story
Bare Roots Farm is a small, family-owned farm nestled in Corning, California.
Our roots go back to the Blackforest in Germany and Braunau Austria where our great grandparents farmed their lands.
We continue to carry on the legacy here in California.
What began as a traditional prune orchard has evolved into a vibrant, diversified operation.
We offer freshly harvested prunes, pomegranates, figs, persimmons, asian pears, citrus and walnuts—all picked the same day and sold direct to consumers for maximum freshness and exceptional flavor.
Our small Lassen County site produces crisp apple varieties and pears.
We also offer limited quantities of heirloom hardneck garlic varieties (available primarily by pre-order).
We also propagate and sell small tree cuttings taken directly from our highest-producing mother trees, giving you the chance to grow proven performers on your own property.
On-site, we maintain a thriving apiary that supports pollination for superior fruit quality and taste. This allows us to offer our own raw honey for sale as well.
In addition to our own harvest, we will be working within our small community of local growers to bring a variety of fresh produce to our location, creating a true farm stand experience filled with seasonal goodness from the area.
